Goritzy
“ Our tour escort demonstrated great devotion—he kept track of every person in the group and knew all our names. He was respectful, attentive and made everyone feel safe, secure and special. It was like having your son take you on a tour.”

About Goritzy

The little village of Goritzy lies on the Sheksna River and is the starting point for a visit to Kirillov Belozersky Monastery. Named after the monk Kyrill, who left Moscow for Goritzy at age 60, the monastery was supported financially by the Muscovite Czars. In 1968, the monastery was transformed into a museum.
